The Weeknd, the top nominee entering Sunday's presentation of the American Music Awards in downtown Los Angeles, was added today to the list of those set to perform at the event.
In a performance that could likely only occur on an awards show, The Weeknd will share the stage with Kenny G to perform a rendition of "In Your Eyes,'' according to producers.
Also added to the list of performers for the show were Bebe Rexha with Doja Cat, Dan + Shay, Lewis Capaldi and Machine Gun Kelly.
They will join previously announced performers Jennifer Lopez with Maluma, Bad Bunny with Jhay Cortez, Bell Biv DeVoe, Billie Eilish, BTS, Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, Nelly and Shawn Mendes.
Taraji P. Henson will host the show, which will originate from the Microsoft Theater in a socially distanced format.
The show will be broadcast by ABC, but will be tape-delayed on the West Coast, airing at 8 p.m.
