Working undercover as members of a narcotics syndicate, each man distrusts his partner as much as the criminals they have both been tasked to take down. When their attempt to infiltrate a Mexican drug cartel and recover millions goes haywire, Trench and Stigman are suddenly disavowed by their superiors. Now that everyone wants them in jail or in the ground, the only person they can count on is the other. In Phoenix, he laid out his ideas to strengthen the housing market and ensure responsible middle class families have access to affordable mortgages and refinancing. But he made it clear that we can't go back to the same bubble-and-burst housing system that caused the financial crisis. We need a rock-solid foundation for financing homeownership with a bigger role for the private sector, where taxpayers aren't on the hook for the irresponsible behavior or bad decisions of financial institutions.
President Obama traveled to Chattanooga, Tennessee yesterday to talk about the first cornerstone of middle class security: a good job in a durable, growing industry. He outlined his vision for an economy where everyone who works hard can get ahead, and his plan to make that vision a reality.
